Welcome to the WBM 2020 / Music Industry Research conference information page. The field of Music Business/Industry research is multidisciplinary encompassing management, economics, sociology, law, history, technology, internet. All are encouraged as part of this innovative 100% online, asynchronous conference.
Why online? The world has changed dramatically for everyone. The traditional academic research conference is approaching obsolescence, with travel costs and registrations fees growing to un-acceptable levels. We all face dramatic budget challenges. We are offering this conference to allow music business scholars a chance to interact with each other, present their latest research and publish this research in an established Cabell's listed research journal.
Submissions We are accepting both abstract and full papers. Please submit to: email@example.com. The file format can be WORD or PDF. Please include all authors names in the submission. Please submit all documents n English. There are no limits on page numbers.
The WBM conferences are known as inclusive and relaxed conferences. They are the friendly conferences. We are open to all types of presentations including theoretical, empirical, case studies, pedagogical demonstrations, historical essays, and technology reviews.

There is a dedicated issue to the Journal of Business Management & Change focused on Music Business Research. This is an excellent opportunity to publish your research in a peer-reviewed Cabell's listed journal that will be in its 18th year in existence. JBMC is a Cabell's white-listed journal. All participants are strongly encourage to submit a finished paper or research note for publication in JBMC.
Conference Format This conference will be 100% online asynchronous. Presenters will use any technology of choice to prepare a video presentation of their research. This will then be submitted to be posted on the conference website. Registrants will then have access to the presentation and the ability to ask authors questions. Authors can then respond to questions. The presentations will stay up for a while, allowing everyone time to see each presentation.
The advantage of this format is that the conference becomes a 24/7 conference allowing attendees to participate and view presentations on their own time schedule.
Registration Fees The conference fees will be as follows: - Registration no later than June 15, 2020: $100 - Registration between June 16 and July 16, 2020: $130 - Registration between July 17 and August 20, 2020: $150 - Registration after August 20, 2020: $170 (registration fees are not refundable. Please register when you know for certain that you an participate in the conference)
