WBM 2022 conference to be held in the Champagne district of France. We are proud to announce that our 2022 conference is taking place LIVE and in the Champagne district of France. We have a long history of conferences held in France including multiple conferences in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux and Dijon. These are always our most popular events and we have been eyeing the Champagne district for many years.
Stay tuned for more updates on this website regarding the details of the conference. We are now taking submissions for our WBM 2020 Music Business Research online conference. This is a new area for WBM but we are excited to provide scholars of music business another opportunity to present and publish their research. We are devoting a special issue of the Journal of Business Management & Change for research on Music Business.
The WBM conference will experiment with a 100% online, asynchronous conference. With asynchronous presentations each presenter will record their research as a video with the video available on-demand for all conference attendees. Everyone can post their comments and questions at any time and presenters can respond similarly.
We strive to make all WBM conferences international events, so pure synchronous presentations make time differences troublesome. Academic conferences need to evolve. Traditional big-city conferences require extreme expense in transporation and hotels. This model allows attendees to see more presentations at their own pace and schedule. This model has an extremely low carbon-impact. |
